Welcome to Bennett Youth Dance also known as BYD.

 

We would like to form two teams of young girls that want to learn to dance and perform at a competitive level. It is open to girls 7 to 14 in the entire I-70 Corridor area.

We have openings for up to 10 to 15 girls per team. The teams should break up to 7 to 10 year olds and 11 to 14 year olds. If your child is dancing at a more advance level we will move her up to the appropriate team to make it both fun and challenging for them.

They need to be able to commit to the team, create school spirit, have pride and be loyal to the Bennett Youth Dance Team. We feel we are more than a dance team; we are a small dance family.

We also require that the girls are doing well in school. We feel the girls should care about their grades as well for the love for dance.

We will teach Jazz, Pom, Hip Hop, Kick line and Lyrical.

We will enter at least 7 Competitions a year and attend a Dance Camp during the Summer. We will also perform at home games and public events and the girls will have lots of fun!

Eligibility:

A signed parent/guardian permission slip. Show proof of adequate accident insurance protection for your child. Members will be between the ages of 6 to 14 years as of the month of May of the previous year.We will offer High School students if an interest takes place. Strasburg school does not have a dance team and we would love to start one if we get 5 or more girls interested in signing up. The girls will be able to choose what ever color uniform they want, aside BYD's youth teams. BYD will still need to be on the shell because your child will still be dancing for Bennett Youth Dance.

Practice will be held once a week on Fridays ( at the Community Center )for the younger girls and Staturdays ( at the Rec Center ) for the older girls. During the summer we will have a once a week practice just to keep the girls in shape.We will not have any practices during July and no dues will be required for that month. We will teach them an exercise routine they can do at home when not dancing here. We will start twice a week the month of August.

Once you register either online or snail mail to our P.O. box. We require a one time $30.00 fee and regular dance dues will be due in March 5th at our first practice.

Tuition is due the first of each month. To avoid late fee's we ask that you please pay on time. If for any reason you forget to bring payment you can always send it to the p.o. box.
